CINC Announces Start of the 2025 Phoenician Essay Contest

2025 MOWW PHOENICIAN ESSAY CONTEST ANNOUNCEMENT

The MOWW Phoenician Essay Contest is an annual patriotic-themed essay contest based on a thought-provoking subject of national interest and requiring a student to take a position and defend it. The contest is open to the top three students of each Youth Leadership Conference (YLC) held in the preceding 12-month period. The contest details are available in the MOWW Policy Manual (Paragraphs 6.C.4.b and 7.D.5), and the MOWW forms (12-series) posted to moww.org.

This year MOWW has increased the contest award amounts to $4000 for first place, $2000 for 2nd place and $1000 for third place.  Each awardee receives a scholarship check and certificate. The awards are presented at a MOWW chapter arranged ceremony in each winner’s local community and are designed to maximize attendance by the student’s family and community.

2025 MOWW PHOENICIAN ESSAY QUESTION “?”

“In light of the perceived divisiveness in the United States, give two ways we can become “a more perfect Union” as stated in the Preamble to the Constitution?”

MOWW Chapter leaders and YLC directors are requested to reach out to all eligible YLC attendees to inform and encourage them to participate in the MOWW 2025 Phoenician Essay Contest.
