Commander in Chief Marlon Ruiz has published his Commander in Chief’s Intent and Priorities for Operating Year (OY) 2026. The priorities provide direction for the Order and outline the areas that will receive particular emphasis during the coming year.
All Companions are encouraged to read and become familiar with the CINC’s priorities. Achieving them will require a coordinated effort across the Order—from National Headquarters and national committees to Regions, Chapters, and individual Companions.
The OY 2026 priorities build on the progress of recent years and emphasize several areas critical to MOWW’s continued success: alignment with the 2023–2028 Strategic Plan, execution of our Outreach Programs, sustainable membership and organizational growth, improved Companion engagement, and long-term financial sustainability.
The CINC also places renewed emphasis on Education and Training and Technology Development. Planned efforts include a standardized Welcome and Orientation Program for new Companions, recurring refresher training, improved internal communications and information sharing, streamlined administrative processes, and practical uses of technology to improve mission effectiveness.
Most importantly, the priorities reinforce that the success of MOWW depends on the active participation of its Companions. As the CINC states, our future will be measured not simply by membership numbers, but by the lasting impact we make through service to youth, our communities, our fellow veterans, and our Nation.
Please take a few minutes to review the CINC’s OY 2026 Priorities and consider how you—and your Chapter—can contribute to their accomplishment.
