“Companion” is the term MOWW uses for a member.

Who can join MOWW?

MOWW welcomes eligible veterans of the U.S. uniformed services, including those currently serving, formerly serving, retired, or serving in the Reserve or National Guard. Eligible services include the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, U.S. Public Health Service, and NOAA Commissioned Officer Corps. See membership eligibility.

Do I have to be an officer to join?

No. MOWW welcomes eligible veterans of all ranks. See membership eligibility.

Can family members join?

Yes. Certain family members of eligible veterans may join as hereditary members, including spouses, children, stepchildren, and grandchildren. Learn about hereditary membership.

How much does membership cost?

Regular membership is $60 per year and Perpetual membership is $500, with an option to make four quarterly payments of $125. Learn more about membership pricing.

How do I join?

How do I find a chapter near me?

Use the chapter map to find a chapter and its contact information. If you need help finding the right contact, send us a message.

What do local chapters do?

Chapter activities vary by location. Typical activities include supporting veterans, recognizing ROTC and JROTC cadets, recognizing Scouts, offering Patriotic Education in the form of Youth Leadership Conferences (YLC) and Seminars (YLS), and recognizing public safety personnel. Can my school or organization ask a chapter for award support?

Yes. If your ROTC or Scouting organization would like to connect with a chapter, you can use the Find-A-Chapter Map if you know your chapter’s name, or use the Contact Us form and tell us all the details so we may assist accordingly.

How do I renew my membership?

Select Dues Renewal from the navigation on moww.org.

How do I update my address or other membership information?

Use the MOWW Membership Information Update (Form 5 & 6).  The form will have two options:  (1) To update your own record with new contact information, use Form 5; and (2) to update the National Directory with new National or Chapter Officers, use Form 6.
